Chef/Owner, John Atkinson, is a fourth generation Angeleno who grew up in MB. After graduating from the College of Charleston in s.C., and a good bit of world travel, he returned home in 2003 to open the north end caffe with his parents, Robbie and big john. After more than a decade, he continues to bring the best of his culinary experiences and techniques to a casual southern California setting. He has been featured on food network’s “diners, drive-ins, and dives” and has competed on food network’s, “chopped” (airing in 2014.) he spends many mornings surfing with friends, family and staff just steps away from their restaurant.
